HOME Chapter

The Aurora HOME (Housing Opportunities Metro East) chapter has been very active over the past two years.  Their most recent effort has been to orchestrate a postcard campaign in the faith communities of Aurora to draw the City Council's attention to identified housing needs for low income families.  Congregations in the Chapter gathered approximately 300 signed postcards and presented them to City Council on June 20th.  

Starting in October 2005, the Chapter has been exploring how to set up a temporary severe weather shelter that will provide Aurora's homeless a place to stay during times of deadly cold.
