Chapters


A Housing Justice! Chapter is a group of people within a community that meets to discuss their local housing issues. Chapters help assess their community's housing needs, brainstorm solutions to housing problems while gathering information and resources together, and ultimately effect positive change in their local housing situation.

  • Aurora Housing Opportunities Metro East (HOME)
  • S.E. Denver
  • Longmont
  • Grand Junction
  • Colorado Springs
  • Brighton Housing Justice

Housing Justice! Guidelines for Chapters

  • Have at least 8 members
  • Have at least 1 faith community member organization
  • Meet at least 4 times per year
  • Have at least one representative from the Chapter at the Housing Justice! annual meeting and conference
  • Be in communication with the statewide HJ! organization to receive updated information about the Chapter's community housing issues.
  • Respond to Housing Justice’s annual questionnaire
  • Make sure that when using the Housing Justice! name for or against proposed ordinances, those ordinances are in accord with the organization's guidelines for official support.
  • Using good judgement when using the Chapter's name to support local affordable housing developments and projects.
