Housing Justice!’s several committees play a vital role in carrying out our mission to educate and mobilize the faith communities of Colorado on housing issues.  We hope that you’ll consider putting your considerable talents, perspectives, and energies to work by involving yourself in one of the committees below.  Whether your passion is planning a major event, helping to guide a major community program, or developing educational tools, there is a place for you on one of our committees!

2007 Summit

Our past Summits have been major "mountain-top" educational experiences.  This committee will start focusing on planning our 2007 Summit.  This work includes developing a program theme, planning all non-program logistics like venue, menu, etc., integrating program elements with Housing Justice's Community Initiatives Program, and working the event to make sure it’s successful...

Community Initiatives

This committee plays an integral role in assisting our community organizer implement our Community Initiatives Program.  The committee provides oversight, advice on policy and technical issues, and general direction for the program.  Come be a vital presence in the unfolding of this program that empowers people of faith to improve their communities...

Education/Advocacy

Education and advocacy are two of Housing Justice!'s most important tools for trying to better Colorado.  As such, this committee provides essential resources Housing Justice! needs in order to fulfill its mission.  Finding ways to involve congregations, developing educational tools, evaluating advocacy standards and agendas, and coordinating with Housing Colorado! and other organizations on advocacy projects are just some activities of this committee...

Fund Development

We have great vision, we have great plans, but we need money and support to make it happen.  This committee works to identify new funding sources, develop the overall funding plan and assist in building funding relationships.

Annual Celebration Planning Committee

All the logistics of our next annual celebration are being planned by this committee.  Developing the Celebration's theme, coordinating the menu, program, speakers, and venue, helping to design printed materials, running the event, and finding new supporters to attend are this committee’s main goals.  Come help plan and run our next major annual celebration!
